Wellbeing Boxing & NextGen Hub

Wellbeing Boxing has expanded and in addition to our onsite and offsite provision for schools we have now opened the NextGen Coaching Hub in St Austell's, a dynamic and supportive environment specifically designed for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and those in Alternative Provision (AP). Our hub aims to help students become the best version of themselves and bridge the gap between school and students, fostering personal growth, resilience, and academic achievements.

Wellbeing Boxing: At the heart of our hub is a dedicated boxing area featuring a boxing ring, punch bags, and fitness equipment. Here, students can engage in Wellbeing Boxing sessions that not only promote physical fitness but also enhance mental well-being. We also offer Boxing Awards, enabling students to earn credits towards valuable qualifications such as GCSEPE, ASDAN, DofE, Princes Trust, and BTech. These qualifications can significantly boost their confidence and future prospects.

Other activities include:

Wiring Inn Station: We are excited to introduce the Wiring Inn Station, a hands-on electrical call panel experience designed specifically for our SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and AP (Alternative Provision) students at NextGen Hub. This engaging workshop will not only make learning about electrical systems fun but also equip students with essential skills for the future.

Gaming Station: Equipped with a range of games along with two PlayStations for the more tech minded students, this station promotes social interaction, strategic thinking, and teamwork.

Basic Woodwork Station: Teaches Health & Safety, practical skills and teamwork, fostering a sense of accomplishment and boosting self-esteem. Arts and Crafts: Encourages self-expression and creativity, helping students develop fine motor skills and emotional regulation.

Dedicated Spray-Painting Area: Offers a unique medium for artistic expression while enhancing focus and patience.

Outdoor planting area: Our outdoor planting area offers students a hands-on experience with nature, promoting mental well-being and personal growth. Through gardening, students develop important life skills such as responsibility and teamwork while enjoying the therapeutic benefits of being outdoors.

LEGO Building Station: Encourages problem-solving skills and creativity, allowing students to build and innovate in a fun environment.
